Lindsey Vonn is known for her go-getter personality on and off the field. Apart from her illustrious alpine skiing career, Vonn has always been an outspoken person. She always voices her perspective when it comes to supporting and lifting others. Once again, she was seen backing the United States women’s national soccer team following their loss in a recent event. She called out critics for treating the players so badly.

She took to social media and responded to a negative comment, and she hit back at that particular statement. The news was originally reported by People on their Facebook account.

On Sunday, the USWNT lost their match against Sweden in Melbourne, Australia, for which they were trolled massively by the fans. Vonn took to her Twitter (now X) to hit back at one such tweet that was trolling Megan Rapinoe and her team by using Vonn’s name. She responded to the tweet in a powerful manner and wrote, “Your comments are almost as bad as your bio.” She further added, “I don’t see you out there on the pitch. How about giving these athletes some respect, regardless of political opinions. My Word.”

The US national team is facing heavy backlash for their early exit from a major tournament. They were trounced by Sweden in a penalty shootout, which ended 5-4. 38-year-old Megan Rapinoe was targeted specifically for missing the penalty; she also announced her imminent retirement last month. After the match, Rapinoe said it was just like a sick joke for her, and she further added that she is grateful and joyful as it is the end of the road for her. She also said that she has loved playing for her country for so many years. It was not the end for the USWNT, as they were called out by a few other big names as well, which includes former POTUS.
