Two-time Olympic gold medalist and alpine skiing sensation Mikaela Shiffrin has tied yet another record at the World Championships. Earlier, the record-setting skier participated in the Women’s Super-G event at the Alpine Skiing World Championships. Despite having a narrow lead over Marta Bassino of Italy, she couldn’t keep up with the Italian’s pace. In the last stretch, Shiffrin fell behind and finished 0.11 seconds behind Bassino.
While the Olympic gold medalist had to settle for silver in the Super-G event, she made history again. The champion skier tied the record for most individual medals at the World Championships in the modern era. Shiffrin has an astonishing win rate, winning 12 out of 15 starts at the World Championships. Fans are going gaga after the skiing sensation’s latest achievement.

However, some fans were angry they couldn’t watch the alpine skier make history, despite paying to watch the live stream. “I wouldn’t know – I paid for a subscription to watch this month and the feed was lost halfway down Mikaela’s run and didn’t come back for 17 more minutes. P*** poor video. Unacceptable,” commented a fan. “Congrats! Wish I could have seen it but Ski & Snowboard Live dropped the video feed in your last split… Horrible service” wrote another.
