Lindsey Vonn is a legendary personality for more than one reason. She dedicated the prime phase of her childhood and teenage to becoming an accomplished alpine skiing racer. She retired from her glorious sports career after amassing a record 82 world cup victories and three Olympic medals. On the other side of her life, she is a proud daughter and a doting sister.

Lindsey has four siblings; three of them are triplets. She describes her home as a ‘bustling household’ with all the hustle and bustle they had in their childhood. Because of her mom’s health condition, she shared the responsibility of her siblings at a very young age. Recently, she took to Instagram to wish the Kildow triplets on their birthday. Also, she reminisces about her mom on this occasion.

Lindsey Vonn remembers her mom on her siblings’ birthday

Lindsey’s house was a family of seven: her parents, Lindsey, Karin, and the triplets. She shares a great bond with her family even to this date. The alpine skiing racer made an Instagram story to convey birthday wishes to the triplets. The skier-turned-author put a childhood picture of the three with her late mom.

Lindsey is fighting one of the toughest battles right now. It’s inevitable to accept that losing her mother to ALS is a long-lasting wound. She wished her siblings in an Instagram post, captioned, “Happy birthday to the best triplets siblings.” Also, added a note, “Miss u mom.”

In her book, “Rise: My story,” she mentions a time when she took responsibility for her siblings because of her mother’s health condition. Her mother suffered a stroke while giving birth to Lindsey and never restored her former health since then. “My mom couldn’t run or ride a bike.” She wrote. Hence she would be the one to take charge.

Lindsey’s parents always desired a big family. “The family grew, first with my sister Karin four years later, and then, wishing for a boy, they got surprise triplets—two boys, Dylan and Reed, and a girl, Laura,” she wrote in her book. Lindsey recounted their childhood days and said that being with her siblings taught her how to remain calm during chaos.

However, she loved doing it. She continued, “If we went to the lake near our house, I was responsible.” The young, little girl was already being kind and helpful. The skiing legend also changed the triplets’ diapers.

After they got older, she made their lunches. And when she got her driving license, she drove everyone to school and wherever else they needed to go. “We were a unit,” she said.
