Mikela Shriffin’s Beau’s ‘Fearless’ Attempt to Drive the Ski Queen to a Taylor Swift Concert Disrupts the Internet

Mikaela Shiffrin and Aleksander Aamodt Kilde have been dominating their sport for the last two seasons, hence aptly attaining the status of the ‘power couple’ of alpine skiing. The Norwegian speedster and the Olympic queen have been dating since 2021, and have openly supported each other’s illustrious career in interviews and on social media as well. Not only that, but they have also shared sneak peeks of their many vacations on their social media profiles.

Being the behemoths of their sport as they are, it is no surprise that they have a huge fan following. Previously, they have wowed the internet with their visit to the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Silverstone and the glamorous ESPY awards to spending some quality time together getting tanned in Maui, Hawaii. The ‘it’ couple of alpine skiing has struck the internet once again, after embarking on a new adventure.

A special itinerary that leads to the Eras Tour

In an interview with Ski Racing Media, Aleksander Aamodt Kilde revealed that the couple is going to spend some quality time together this summer, and one of their stops is going to be Colorado. However, it’s not going to be all business for the couple in Colorado, as they will be indulging in some pleasure as well. Kilde revealed that he is going to drive Mikaela Shiffrin to the Taylor Swift concert to be held in Denver.

The ‘Fearless’ ski racing duo will be attending that particular stop of Taylor Swift’s Eras tour, and it seems like Aleksander might be doing it to gain some brownie points from his partner. If you already didn’t know before, Shiffrin is a huge Taylor Swift fan, and can’t stop singing the singer’s praises, a fact that she confirmed in an interview with NBC Sports. According to Mikaela, Taylor Swift is her favorite artist. Music has always been a big part of Shiffrin’s life and career, and apparently, she identifies the most with Swift’s music.

With more than 10 Grammy awards under her wing, Taylor Swift is known for her poetry and her lyrics. As Shiffrin told NBC, “She is absolutely a favorite. She is on a different level of being able to write, essentially poetry, and turning into music. It’s fun to listen to her songs.” And now, it seems like Aleksander Aamodt Kilde is making Mikaela Shiffrin’s dreams come true. However, this Eras Tour stop is not the only thing the couple has planned for the summer.

As Aleksander revealed to Ski Racing Media, Shiffrin has already visited Kilde in Norway, and the couple even had a photoshoot for Snow Magazine there. The couple plans to move to and fro between Norway, from where Aleksander hails, and Colorado, which is where Mikaela Shiffrin resides. Kilde has been in seventh heaven after having his partner over to his country. He said, “I think she also has a very open mind to learn about the (Norwegian) culture and being a part of my family the same way I am for her. It’s a great balance. We love being with each other.” 

It definitely seems like they both complement each other really well. Since the couple got together in 2021, the ‘Norwegian Viking’ has won two World Cup titles, a super-G title, and two Olympic medals. Mikaela Shiffrin has been on a roll as well, managing to get her fifth World Cup title. She also broke the record for all-time World Cup victories after she surpassed Ingemar Stenmark’s record of 86, with her 87th win in Åre, Sweden, on March 11. For now, both Shiffrin and Kilde seem to be taking a well-earned break from competitive skiing.
