Mikaela Shiffrin appreciates men’s downhill winners
Shiffrin celebrated her compatriot’s surprising first-place finish in the men’s downhill on the Saslong track at Val Gardena, Italy. And in the World Cup downhill race, Italian Olympian, Dominik Paris rose to the occasion taking his World Cup title. Mikaela captioned the re-post: ” (five star eyes emojis)@akilde(heart eyes emoji)(And (hands up to show respect emoji)i @brycebennett!)
((And of course @dominikparis(respect emoji))).” The former World champion who started from 12th place got an advantage with speed in the upper portion of the Dolomites course. Meanwhile, American skier, Bryce Bennett, who won the first downhill race of the season, finished in third place, 0.60 seconds behind Kilde.
Interestingly, Kilde just missed out on the victory by 0.03 seconds in the previous race which could’ve been his fourth victory on the Val Gardena. However, Kilde did beat out his Swiss rival Marco Odermatt who was edged off the podium finishers rank this time. The FIS Alpine Ski World Cup was made even more dramatic by the close finish and unexpected results. Meanwhile, Mikaela’s admiration and support of the contested men’s competition was hilariously greeted by Kilde recently.
