Vonn wrote in her caption, “With all this talk of records……unfortunately, a lot of surgeries. Honestly, just being able to ski after most of my injuries was a victory in itself”. Vonn has suffered from multiple injuries her whole career and once raced with her arm in a brace, as reported by TIME. It was a proud moment for her to look at all of her achievements despite her struggles. She thus decided to show it to the world via Instagram.

The post was filled with comments from admirers and other blue-ticked personalities. But Diego Osario’s comment was crisp, complimentary, and stood out from the rest of them. Osario, Vonn’s boyfriend, simply commented with an image of a goat. He is indirectly calling Vonn the GOAT (Greatest of All Time) of Skiing, by using a visual pun.
In her heartfelt post, she also wrote about the incredible sacrifices she had to make in order to reach where she is. Vonn has no regrets about any physical pain she endured as a result of her job but is instead proud of all her accomplishments.
