Mikaela Shiffrin acquired the third spot on Saturday’s giant slalom in Tremblant. After her time on the rough terrain, the Queen of the Slopes wanted to retreat to the comfort of her royal bed. This is part of her competition ritual, as shared in a recent Instagram post from the supine position on her sofa. In an Instagram update, she was found in a bear hug, lying on her back on a wooden table while Paula Moltzan lay on top of her. The latter commented, “Interrupting horizontal time”, indicating that Shiffrin’s recovery day plans were halted by an impromptu bonding moment.
