As Mikaela Shiffrin faced disappointment at the women’s Giant Slalom race, her eyes were glued to the screen to cheer her boyfriend Aleksander Kilde. He notched up his first GS podium finish in Adelboden, and Shiffrin couldn’t stop shedding tears of joy. He somehow managed to top his breakfast skills with this one🤩🤩 wowowowowowow what a King!👑“.

The 2x Olympic Medalist posted a video of Kilde as he celebrated after a scintillating run, calling him the ‘King’. King he is as the Norwegian finished 2nd behind Marco Odermatt, missing the victory by 1.26 seconds. Only if his initial run was a little better, Kilde would have finally got his hands on the coveted title. Nonetheless, it’s a huge achievement for him, but why did Shiffrin have nothing to write about her day?
