Lindsey Vonn is a name synonymous with alpine skiing in the United States and around the world. She had a record 82 World Cup victories under her belt until Mikaela Shiffrin took over this year. Alpine skiing shares a fair amount of danger when it comes to athletes’ safety, and Vonn is not an exception. She suffered some major injuries during her decades-long career, which ultimately influenced her to retire from the sport. One of her major injuries was her knee, for which she had surgery months ago. But her knee injury just wouldn’t go away, so she underwent another knee surgery recently.

Amidst all this chaos in her life, a post on social media has left Vonn in spills. It was actually a mistake, and she was misunderstood by another athlete who shares her first name with Vonn.

A post was shared by 2shotsmusicpod on their Twitter handle in which they pointed out a mistake in a news headline. This headline was from a soccer match, and Lindsey Vonn’s name was mistakenly mentioned instead of Lindsey Horan. Aforementioned pointed out the error and tagged Vonn in this post; now Vonn has reposted this Tweet with the caption, “Hahah wow that’s crazy! Even AI should know I’m horrible at soccer and Lindsey Horan is a boss!!”

Vonn took this post in a lighthearted manner, posted her hilarious reaction to it, and gave Horan deserving credit. The page that originally posted the Tweet looked more aggressive and disappointed with the error and mentioned if this blunder was made by AI or if it was just a blunder from the US women’s national team. Though she may have called herself a terrible soccer player, her love for other sports is not hidden from the fans.
