“..Had Us Worried”: Fighting Through Serious Weather Conditions, Mikaela Shiffrin Fandom Reminisces Her World Cup Win

Alpine skiing races are one of the toughest to deal with when weather conditions are unfavorable. The excitement drill all gets shattered if the weather steps back and doesn’t support the race. The same thing happened with the legendary Mikaela Shiffrin in Mont-Tremblant, Quebec. The Alpine skiing enthusiasts were all set to watch Shiffrin clinch the first spot. However, destiny had its plans, and the athlete ended up having the third spot.

But Shiffrin doesn’t let her spot decide the future. Rather she is all set to make a bigger comeback in the upcoming midseason slalom races. Along similar lines, Shiffrin is grateful for the spectators, family, and supporters for cheering for her. 

Mikaela Shiffrin expressed her heartfelt encomium

Shiffrin has been utterly grateful for her fandom as they cheered her on in her slalom run in Quebec. On December 5th the legend took to her Instagram handle and added a new post. She added a series of pictures. It includes her picture with family, athletes, having donuts in hand, and smiling faces meeting with fans in the ten pictures.

In the caption, the American skier started by writing about the weather conditions, then she expressed her gratitude towards her family and fandom. Following this, Shiffrin showcased the love and support she has received and ended the post by expressing her regard for the “warm welcome” she got from Mont Tremblant. 

She penned, “Thank you so much, @monttremblant! It wasn’t easy to get a race off on Sunday with the weather, but the volunteers and organizers did an amazing job.” Continuing, “I could feel the passion for ski racing, and could hear it through your cheers down the track. The most memorable part of the weekend was definitely spending a little time with my family.” Her words left fans in awe as they flocked to the comment section to express their regard.

Fans Celebrate Mikaela Shiffrin’s Triumphs & Sportsmanship 

As fans brimmed the comment section by writing paens for the skiing queen, one fan joyfully exclaimed, “Team USA you are fun to watch every weekend! Go” Mikaela”. To this another admirer praised, “What a great display of sportsmanship!!”. To this, yet another comment said, “So happy that you enjoyed your weekend of racing at Mont Tremblant! The crowd loved you! Good luck with the rest of your season!”.

Furthermore, “a Canadian supporter affectionately declared, “We Canadians love you”. Reflecting on the experience, someone shared, “it was so inspiring seeing you train and race in person!”.

Adding to the chorus, a supporter shared, “Come back soon!”. The list doesn’t end here. Expressing their excitement, a fan chimed in, “Super fun weekend, loved cheering for you.”

Another fan joined the chorus and added, “Congrats Mikaela. Watching live from the US, the visibility for the 2nd run on Sunday, had us worried. That is until we saw Frederica bolting down to the finish line!!! Then we said: “Maybe the girls can see the gates!!!.
