The 2-time Olympic gold medalist applauded the Laureus World Sports Awards, remarking “There is nothing like the Laureus Awards when it comes to bringing athletes together,” celebrating not just the achievements but the overarching impacts. She further adds, “Laureus gives us a unique platform to interact with each other and make a difference.”

Apart from that, Mikaеla Shiffrin also expressed her elation over her last year illustrious win. She mentioned, “2023 was an absolutely incredible year for me… not important to merely break records to set records.” Mikaеla Shiffrin has been influencing the young generation through her remarkable feat and outstanding speed on the slopes. Shiffrin’s record-breaking spree in 2023

Displaying her unparalleled skiing prowess, the American skiing sensation Mikaela Shiffrin took part in her 14th season on the World Cup circuit in 2023. On January 24, 2023, Shiffrin won her 83rd World Cup race. It took her ahead of Lindsey Vonn as the top female World Cup winner. In addition to that, she stood just three wins away from Ingemar Stenmark’s overall record of 86. But that record was not there to stay.

On 10 March 2023, Mikaela Shiffrin equaled Stenmark’s record. The next day, she overcame her with her 87th win. That was two days before She turned 28. Just a week passed after that, and on 18th March Shiffrin tied Vonn’s women’s record for World Cup podiums (137). This yearIn 2023, Shiffrin also broke Vreni Schneider’s women’s record for World Cup giant slalom wins (21). Interestingly, Shiffrin is the only skier to win races in each of the World Cup’s six disciplines. Currently recovering from a fatal injury, it remains to be seen how Shiffrin furthers her run after the records in the coming days.
