Back in February 2010, star golfer Tiger Woods gave a public apology for being “selfish” and “foolish.” He did that in reference to all his marital infidelities and mentioned that he wants to turn into a better person.

Three years after his televised news conference, Woods gave his heart to iconic skier Lindsey Vonn. Soon after that, the Olympian talked about her then-boyfriend’s apology speech in an interview. Like many, Vonn couldn’t help but make fun of the golfer for having countless relationships in the past.

“They’re like, ‘Yeah, you’re awesome, you go have that s*x’,” said the skier about Woods hugging his friends after finishing his statement.

Vonn’s words just lit up the room and everyone present there burst into a laugh. But it didn’t end here. What she said next was way funnier and more intense than this.

In case Vonn had to host Saturday Night Live, she planned to perform the following skit: “There’s something you don’t know about me. Tiger, you’re my idol and I too have a s*x problem.”

Lindsey Vonn and Tiger Woods started dating back in 2013. Although their relationship laid out “couple goals” vibes, the two broke up in 2015. Nevertheless, they decided to stay as good friends. The two were admired by many and were a source of inspiration.

Tiger Woods expresses his apology to fans

Even though the legendary golfer has made quite a lot of mistakes, apologizing and accepting one’s faults is a form of bravery. The speech was a long one, where he spoke about several things, including his dishonest behavior.

“I am also aware of the pain my behavior has caused to those of you in this room. I have let you down,” said the golfer. “I have let down my fans.”

Woods continued, “For many of you, especially my friends, my behavior has been a personal disappointment. To those of you who work for me, I have let you down personally and professionally.”
