Olympic gold medalist Lindsey Vonn appeared on the popular comedy podcast, Dear Chelsea. In the episode that aired on April 8, host Chelsea Handler brought on the alpine skiing legend as her guest on the show. Unlike many other podcasts where only the guest and the host speak among themselves, Handler also takes fan questions. In the episode featuring Lindsey Vonn, Handler asked her to answer a question related to golf. While answering the fan, who enjoys playing golf, Tiger Woods’s ex threw a subtle jab at his sport.
On Thursday 6th April, Tiger Woods battled constant pain in his right knee during round one of the Masters Tournament. Whether it was because of the pain or bad weather, Woods didn’t live up to his expectations. Adding to Woods’s pains, the Olympian’s subtle dig at the sport might have felt like adding salt to his burns.

Halfway into the podcast, the author and host of Dear Chelsea took a question from a fan named Miranda. Miranda, a golfer, had asked Chelsea Handler how to deal with men who make “sexist comments toward me and my female friends.” After reading her question, Handler connected with the 28-year-old on a live call, and asked Vonn if she wanted to answer Miranda’s question.
Vonn admitted that she did have experience of people, “especially men,” making fun of her. However, she slipped in a subtle remark, digressing from the golfer’s query. “Also the question is like, why golf? I feel like there could be a better sport, no?” Vonn asked Miranda, during the Dear Chelsea podcast.
After hearing Vonn’s statement, Handler and the fan burst out laughing. However, the current situation her ex, Tiger Woods finds himself in, is no laughing matter.

For Sunday, Woods had to play 29 holes. However, the golfing legend couldn’t continue. “I am disappointed to have to WD this morning due to reaggravating my plantar fasciitis,” Woods announced on Twitter. It’s unclear when the 82-time PGA Tour winner will return to the course to compete again. While Vonn’s dig at golfing came before Woods pulled out, it certainly won’t make things easier.
