Mikaela Shiffrin has been on a roll since her win at the ESPYs. The athlete who took home the award for Best Women in Sports celebrated it with a ticket to Taylor Swift’s Eras tour. Shiffrin seems to be achieving not just her professional goals, but personal goals as well!

She also posted about her love and support for Taylor Swift, her romantic outing with her boyfriend and now the stellar alpine athlete shared about trying her hand at golf.

Mikaela Shiffrin trying Golf shots like a professional
The88-timee World Cup Winner posted a video on her Instagram story playing golf. It was new learning for Shiffrin but she managed to make a shot like a pro swinging her golf club and hit the mark gracefully. Not only did she stun her alpine skiing fans, but the golf enthusiasts are also delighted to see the alpine queen playing golf. Mikaela Shiffrin cheerfully wrote on the video, “Not my finest but definitely not my worst….hehehe.”

However, a similar incident happened in 2015, when Shiffrin went golfing and she related her experience saying, “Not my finest moment…. I think I’ll stick with skiing #firsttimegolfer #FORE #shankedit #doesanyonehaveanextracollaredshirt.” Shiffrin’s play has undoubtedly enhanced with time and even after being an alpine skiing athlete, she certainly rocked her golfing skills as well. Now, the multiple talented athlete has added one more accolade with the ESPY award.

One more feather added to her hat with ESPY win
On 13th July 2023, Mikaela Shiffrin won her ESPY and became the second alpine athlete to win this award. Earlier this month, she posted a video on Instagram saying that she does not hope to win and now she has proven herself wrong. She took a minute to realize that she actually won, and then delivered an inspiring speech saying, “Through failure and through success, it’s been a long journey, and it’s not over yet. This season was absolutely incredible, and there was a lot of talk about records. It got me thinking, ‘Why is a record actually important? And I just feel like it’s not important to break records or reset records. It’s important to set the tone for the next generation to inspire them.”

Mikaela Shiffrin, the ultimate alpine skiing queen proved her legacy once again with the ESPY award. The category had many more female legends from different sports fields whom Shiffrin commended for their hard work and uniqueness.
