“Just Trynna Keep Up With Me”: Lewis Hamilton Once Gave Lindsey Vonn the Ultimate Title in Winter Olympics World

Sometimes fans of famous sports personas get pleasantly surprised by their role models. It could be most often due to some sudden collaboration that makes their jaw drop, or it may be due to two athletes coming together to interact. Fans are often star-struck by the latter phenomenon and send loads of love to both parties involved. Something similar was in store for Lindsey Vonn and Lewis Hamilton fans once.

At the fag end of 2015, Olympian Lindsey Vonn took to her Twitter to share a video of her doing what she does best, skiing. But, fans were surprised to see the individual accompanying her. It was none other than F1 legend Lewis Hamilton!

Lindsey Vonn catches up with another sports star  

The posted video was brief and, according to its caption, taken by Hamilton himself on his Snapchat. In the video, both Lindsey and Lewis were seen enjoying the freshly falling snow and the company of other people. Lewis was the first one to interact with the camera. He said, “I just happened to be out with the greatest skier of all time.”

To this, Vonn retorted jovially. She said, “Well, you know, he just trynna keep up with me on a snowboard.” the light bantering went back for a few more seconds. Lindsey teased this racing star for being on a snowboard rather than taking up a skiing duel.

Hamilton wasn’t bluffing when he called Vonn the greatest Alpine Skiing legend of our time. Lindsey’s rendezvous with the Olympics started in 2002. Since then, she’s managed to secure gold medals for the USA team. When she finally retired in 2018, she was one of the most-known winter Olympics athletes. She was most famous for her fierce downhill skiing. In that department, she’d set a record of skiing at 86 mph.

But Lindsey is a champ, she does it all, and she does it effortlessly. Currently, Lindsey holds a net worth of $12 million. Courtesy of her business entanglements. She has her own snowboarding gear enterprise and also does collaborations with other big names like Dwayne Johnson. She is also an avid social worker, running Lindsey Vonn Foundation to facilitate women pursue their dreams of sports.
