However, Shiffrin confronted setbacks and emerged stronger.

Just hours after pleading for peace for humanity in the ongoing Israel and Gaza’s enormity of horror, she opened up about another important topic. Recently, on World Mental Health Day, she delivered a poignant message, resonating with fans globally, emphasizing the importance of mental health and the need for collective support.

In addition to this, shortly after penning a heartfelt note addressing the harrowing situation in Israel, Shiffrin shared her thoughts on mental health. On 10th Oct,  shared by the “Onherturf”  account on Instagram, a series of posts featuring Shiffrin and a few other legendary words from different sports. Shiffrin, adds, “Everyone, every single person knows what it feels like to face a challenge and to be resilient through that challenge. Everyone has failed, felt fear, anxiety, some level of depression at times, pressure.”

Her words resonate with fans worldwide. With this, the Israel-Gaza crisis harrowing situation has stunned the world. Shiffrin’s plea for support made headlines transcending sports, and surfacing as a compassionate voice amid the horrors captured in media imagery.

What did skiing legend add to the Israel-Gaza crisis plea?

She began by expressing, “Feeling the weight and destruction of hatred and violence, more and more with each passing moment”. Pain and support in her words were visible when she further added, “I will never understand what solutions anyone could think that they might find through murder.”

In a heart-wrenching moment, Shiffrin empathized with the victims, adding, “I can’t imagine what you must be going through yet again, during these events of devastation, and I hope you will be able to find the courage to seek help and support from those around you if and when you need it.
