She made history by becoming the first skier to win a World Cup event 12 times in a row. She also made history by being the first to win seven slaloms in one location. Shiffrin’s incredible victory run was topped off by the achievement of her 139th World Cup podium, breaking a tie she had with the retired Austrian skier Marcel Hirscher.
