On 18th July 2023, entrepreneur Lewis Howes dropped his recent talk with Shiffrin on his official website. In the 60 min talk, the alpine skier has spoken on multiple topics and inspired her fans. Interestingly, Shiffrin admitted that she struggles when her primary focus is “winning“.
She confesses, “And when I think I wanna win, I never win? Never ever, if I am thinking about winning, I will not win the race.” Surprising as it may seem, she further elaborated “Like it has happened almost 100 per cent of the time, so what do you need to think about? I have to think about the intensity of my skiing or racing the course rather than winning. It always has to be what’s happening between the start and the finish line, not what’s gonna happen after the finish.”
Shiffrin’s revelation highlights the significance of shifting one’s focus from the end goal to the journey itself. She always concentrates on her next turn, the present moment becomes the catalyst for success. “The next turn, like the process of getting to the finish, is what allows you to win the race,” she asserts. But apart from all the things she said, there is one another pivotal section of her words on the Olympic world and goals, which is making the waves.

Following this she shares what she feels about her game,“I have always in my mind, that I don’t think I am going to do any of this I really just wanna be a very good skier and maybe someday I can be the best in the world.”
