The Millers did not fear for the kids as they were standing outdoors on the driveway. Morgan Miller stated that she first noticed something was wrong when Asher fainted following stomach pains. The nanny told her that Aksel was also complaining of stomach pains. Miller told the nurse at the hospital about the symptoms, who suspected that it was carbon monoxide poisoning. The hospital ran some tests and also confirmed it. The doctors immediately put the three Miller kids on high oxygen therapy at the hospital for four hours to flush out the carbon monoxide from their systems.
