On November 20, 2022, Sebastian Vettel drew the curtains to his phenomenal Formula One career in Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Vettel is a German race-car driver with a career spanning from 2007 to 2022.

Throughout his career, Vettel has competed in Formula One for Aston Martin, BMW Sauber, Red Bull, Toro Rosso, and Ferrari. At 23, in 2010, Sebastian became the youngest person to win the Formula One world driver’s championship.

A message from the snow queen for Sebastian Vettel

Soon after the star completed his final race, the celebration and congratulations were in order. Likewise, the Alpine Skiing legend, Lindsey Vonn, had a little message for the racing legend. Lindsey took to her Instagram account and posted a story for Sebastian Vettel. Vonn reposted a photo of Vettel from Red Bull’s official racing account @redbullracing. Along with the photo, Lindsey added a little caption to the story. She wrote, “Congrats on an incredible career Seb! @sebastian.vettel__”

Lindsey has always been vocal about her love for Formula One. She often finds time to attend racing events. More often than not, she uses her social media to show her support for the F1 world and express her views related to it.

Earlier this year, when Sebastian Vettel announced his retirement plans, Vonn took to Twitter to tell how saddened she was by the news.

Finishing the spectacular journey in style

The four-time world champion marked the end of his career in a fancy way. In his last race, Vettel finished in the 10th spot. However, the move he pulled at the end of his race stole the show. Ultimately, he was declared the driver of the day. Vettel mesmerized the audience by performing the tire-smoking “doughnut”.

Formula One shared the video of Vettel’s donut on their official Twitter handle. The tweet soon went viral with over 503,000 views and 10,000 retweets. The comments section was filled with comments, which showed how fans would miss him and his skills on track.

Fans even thanked the star for his phenomenal performance throughout his career. One user wrote, “Thank you. Sebastian Vettel. You are a hero, world champion, inspiration. Danke.” Vettel decided to retire from the tracks to focus on his family life.
