Recently, Olympic champion Lindsey Vonn boldly defied this negativity by defending another celebrity against body shaming. She is a famous American comedian as well as an actress.
It’s worth noting, in 2021, Lindsey Vonn candidly revealed her past struggles with body image, particularly in the aftermath of the Olympics. However, she emphasized that she has since overcome those challenges and found her way. Remarkably, despite the obstacles, she has etched her name in history. Recently, upon witnessing an Emmy Award-winning comedian face bullying, Vonn felt compelled to speak out.

On February 14th, Dr. Jebra Faushay, author of ‘How the Trump Years Turned Me into A Social Justice Warrior,’ stirred controversy with a post on X featuring Amy Schumer. As Schumer was invited on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, she was delivering her trademark humorous comedy routine. However, while sharing the reel, Dr. Faushay’s caption was deemed disrespectful, as it veered into body-shaming territory. The caption read, “I’m going to need all surgeons and doctors to weigh in here. Serious question, what happened to Amy’s face? Is it normally this size?”

In response to the post, Lindsey Vonn defended Schumer and condemned the act of body shaming. Vonn’s tweet reads, “Maybe just let her live.” She emphasized the importance of avoiding unnecessary judgment based on appearance. She also highlighted the inherent harm in making speculative and hurtful comments about someone’s physical attributes. She further added that one never truly know the struggles someone may be facing behind the scenes. Vonn’s intervention served as a powerful reminder surrounding body image and personal appearance as she once felt so.
