The NCAA, on Thursday, announced its second coaches ranking for the 2024 Championships. It was for the first time this season that OSU Cowboy starters made the list, with 7 moving up in the top 10 in their weight categories. Troy Spratley, representing 57kgs, moved up 6 spots from the last standings to place no.9. Daton Fix for 61kgs joined 184-pounder Dustin Plott in 2nd position. Further along, Izzak Olejnik took the 4th spot while Tagen Jamison and Konner Doucet climbed up to the 8th. Final in the top 10 was Teague Travis at number 10, making his rankings debut.

The say is determined by the votes of 14 coaches, which will be further used to establish seeding for postseason tournaments. For wrestlers to be considered for the ranking, one must have eight matches in the season and at least one in the past 30 days. With all the ranked athletes’ presence and more, the OSU Cowboys rank second in the NWCA Coaches Poll following the victory against South Dakota. Thus, making their way toward the Big 12 championships.
