American shot putter and discus thrower, Crouser has several feats to his name. And, he intends to achieve more milestones with the 2024 Paris Olympics in sight. The double Olympic gold medallist now seeks to surpass his own record in the forthcoming season.

The American Olympic hero from Oregon, Crouser is a reigning world champion, but he does not believe in latent behavior. He is grinding once again, during the off-season as Paris Olympics is merely seven months away. Let’s take a look at his recent post that proves the same.

In the world of elite sports, Ryan Crouser shines above all. He has self-coached himself, with integrity and drawing upon the guidance of his idols. Recently, he took to his Instagram handle, @rcrouser to post a clip of himself on the training grounds. Practicing shot put, the caption gives insight into his persevering mindset. The caption reads, “Embracing the off-season grind. Lots of technique work while feeling beat up and sore. Distances can be humbling at this time of year, so have to find success in the process more so than the outcome.”

Crouser is ready to give his all for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Across the entire season this year, he was in his dominant form. He does not know how to stay idle for long, which brings him to try new exercises and deliver more spectacular performances and records. Despite being in a lot of pain, he continues to endure, just like he claimed gold during the World Athletics Championship in Budapest.

At the age of 30, Crouser has completely bespectacled his fans. The self-coached athlete has a few trajectories planned, which include the upcoming Olympics as well as the possibility of becoming a shot put coach.

Ryan Crouser is the Ultimate Shot Put Champion

What distinguishes Crouser from other competitors is that his real competition is with himself. In the top 15 shot put throws, the reigning champion has 10 of them to his name. At the Los Angeles Grand Prix in May, he made a throw of 23.56m which smashed his own world record.

During an interview, Crouser unveiled what gives him the push to succeed. “I’m always trying to get better and compete against myself and throw as far as I can,” he remarked. Despite coming so far, he is not willing to stop any time soon. He is always ready to reinvent his technique and experiment. For him, the zeal for knowledge and dominance allows him to rise above all.
