With the Prefontaine Classic close at hand, track virtuoso Noah Lyles has pulled his socks up. Grappling a historic treble at the World Athletics Championship, the 26-year-old bid goodbye to this athletic year. Until he did not. With Christian Coleman’s incredible display at the Xiamen Diamond League, Lyles took back his words. Initially, he revealed his tired self and satiation after the World Championship win. Later, he clinched his 4th gold at the Zurich Diamond League. Yet, another gold awaits his soft touch at the upcoming Eugene Diamond League. But there’s a catch.

No matter what a prolific track and field artist Lyles is, he is very lucid about his priorities. For an athlete, gold at the World Championships holds the most significance alongside the Olympics. In line with this concept, Noah treats the other events as a celebratory parade.

In a post-event conference, the star athlete spoke forthrightly about his victory lap.

In a post of FloTrack in ‘X’, Noah said, “Every meet that happens after World Championships, I see them almost as a victory lap… It doesn’t matter if you win or lose now, because you’ve already won World Championships. Nobody can take that from you.” FloTrack captioned the post as Noah Lyles calls Prefontaine his victory lap #EugeneDL.” Noah’s diction screams inspiration, while also implying that he is a man of principles.?

Coach Lance Brauman has prepped Noah for the long-desired closing ceremony. In the same video, the track and field star has also opened up about another magnificent sprinter, whom the entire nation roots for.
