Soup Bowl, a town in Barbados, is the home to some of the best surf spots in the world. Apart from being a hotspot for surfing, it is a great place to relax away from busy city living. The beautiful town recently became the reason for Kelly Slater’s nostalgia. The owner of the famous restaurant posted a selfie of his son with two surfing icons, Kelly Slater and his childhood friend Alan Burke.

The owner of the restaurant was happy to host the legends. He wrote, “this week’s astounding Soup bowl swell brought in a lot of old friends and familiar faces.” He was grateful for the big smile on his son’s face. The sporting spirit of both superstars overwhelmed the owner. “Thank you both for your magnanimous spirits” he added.
Kelly Slater admitted to having a great time reliving the old days. He also mentioned enjoying the company of the little kid. “Been a fun week meeting new friends and reconnecting with old ones in Barbados.” he wrote.

He is a former national and international surfing champion. The 48-year-old surfer runs Burkie’s Surf School and has taught the secrets of Barbados’ surf since 1993.
