Paul McCartney didn’t know about Kelly Slater before watching a famous movie
Kelly Slater perfectly manages his time on and off the surfing board. Over the years, he has worked in several movies, television series and short films. In addition to movies and TV shows, Kelly has also voice acted in the movie, ‘Surf’s Up’. The movie received worldwide recognition and fame.
One of Slater’s fans asked about his favorite part of being in the movie. While one would expect Kelly to say something about the animations or humor, the surfing legend had other reasons. He revealed that the English songwriter Paul McCartney came to know about Kelly from the same movie.

In the interview, Slater mentioned how Surf’s Up was the favorite movie of Paul?s youngest daughter. He said, ?Paul McCartney said it was his youngest daughter?s favorite film?. He further added that Paul got to know about him after watching his character in the movie. Slater said, ?He knew who Rob and I were through the characters in the film?.

In the interview, Kelly also revealed that “The Performers” was his favorite surfing movie. The thought of creating the first-ever signature film thrilled Slater, and he especially adored the movie’s musical score. Kelly used to duplicate each of the sections and pretend like the guys in that movie.
