“Why Can’t I Do This?”: Lindsey Vonn Revealed How Tiger Woods Didn’t Allow Her Emotions to Take Over While They Were Together

Lindsey Vonn is the all-time acclaimed Olympic Alpine Skiier who is often called the GOAT of her sports. For the 37-year-old retired skiing legend, making headlines and history is a regular thing. This extremely competitive and outspoken sportswoman is never afraid to stand her ground and speak up. She even has created a foundation centered around her belief in equality. 

In 2014, while interviewing with Self, she talked freely over a plethora of topics. The topics ranged from her divorce to dealing with depression and eventually her then-boyfriend and golfer Tiger Woods. While discussing her relationship, she was all praises and fans were in awe at their chemistry. 

Lindsey Vonn talks about bits of advice from Woods

In the interview, the question of Vonn and Tiger Woods’ chemistry eventually popped up. When asked about some of the best advice she’s ever received from him, Lindsey had a lot to say. 

She began by reminiscing how he’d helped her get through her rehab days. Every time she’d be down, he’d pick her up.”I’d say, “Why can’t I do this? I want to!” And he’d say, “You’ll get your chance. It will come…” remembered Vonn.

Despite being a powerful couple, Vonn had her doubts. In the same interview, she also said, “I don’t know what he’s learned from me, to be honest. But we push each other and help each other when we’re down.” The Olympian also spoke highly of the golfer’s patience and how they were a perfect fit for each other.

Perhaps a few sportspeople and Olympians are so known for their dating history as Vonn. She has had quite a few partners and even a marriage back in 2007. Yet, none of this takes away from the fact that she is a self-made name in the realm of Skiing, a towering persona of sorts.

Even after her retirement, she’s got her hands full, collaborating with Dwyane “The Rock” Johnson and writing her autobiography. Safe to say, she is far away from the darker days of her life and the fans love this for her.
