From logos to promoting a sport for inclusion, everything appears to be ready and in motion for the next Games in 2028. A group of 26 “creators” were chosen to represent the city and the Games. A team of celebrities, athletes, and creatives came together to contribute their unique perspectives to the ongoing project. The LA Dodgers have been pushing their horizons to seek their onboarding after being left off the Paris 2024 Olympics.

The United States being the host nation for forthcoming international multi-sport events has strategically planned to team up with gold medalists. US track and field legend is one of the several ambassadors chosen for the job. Recently, the host city’s NLB team made a social announcement inviting the athlete commission member to start their journey.

New beginnings straight from the home ground of LA28

The Athletes Commission Member and great athlete, Michael Johnson was welcomed by the team in Los Angeles, as per a recent Tweet from the @LosAngelesDodgers. As part of baseball’s traditions, Johnson threw the ceremonial first pitch before the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. The game is a part of the LA28 Celebrates event of the future LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The LA28 Celebrates event trending with the hashtag #LA28Celebrates on Twitter was celebrated on June 22, 2023. Celebrated as part of the National Olympic and Paralympic Day of Sports which coincided on June 23 with the upcoming LA28 Olympic & Paralympic Day. Having hosted the Games in 1932, 1984, and now in the 2028 Summer Olympics, Los Angeles will yet again serve as the venue for the Olympic Games. The LA28 Games are intended to push for international growth and encourage a sense of pride and excitement for the Games among all Los Angeles citizens once again.

Johnson has stepped up to be an integral part of the upcoming Olympics and has been a part of the Olympic activities. The four-time Olympic gold medalist is involved with LA28’s organizing committee for LA2028. Johnson’s major impact on the Games extends beyond his function as a member of the LA28 Athletes’ Commission and the recent match’s ball-thrower. The illustrious athlete gave a heartfelt address showing his affection for the host city in a snippet video created by LA28.

Ahead of LA28 Michael Johnson shares a heartfelt message

In an old teaser video released by LA28 on YouTube, Johnson says, ” I owe everything that I have in my entire life to the sport and the Olympics is part of me and I’m part of it.” The US athlete reflects on the connection he shares with Los Angeles and further wishes the world to know the host city more than its popular image. He also created his version of the shining letter A added to the logo of the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games two years back.
