It was a tough day for the Arkansas gymnastics team on the 2nd of February in a Top 10 showdown. The Razorbacks landed a 196.200 against LSU’s 198.475 to record the 1st loss of the season, thus continuing the away-game loss streak against the Tigers. However, cheering her future team on nonetheless, Worlds gold medalist and Olympian Joscelyn Roberson stands to extend on the excitement.

The Gymbacks entered the meet against LSU, leading the SEC Conference at a 2-0-1 record and 7th on the table. However, now having fallen to No.13, the gymnastics stars will look to grab back the top spot, going strong against Florida Gators. Excited for the results ahead, more so with the ESPN feature, Joscelyn Roberson joins the team in sending invites.

Joscelyn Roberson has established a staunch presence through her contributions to the US national team. The youngster has taken on the World Championships, the US Classics, Winter Cup, and more to place herself on the map. In doing so, the youngster has fetched herself a place in the Arkansas gymnastics team for the 2024-25 season. While the debut days are far ahead, nothing is stopping the youngster from cheering the team on in the meantime. “Fired up because the Gymbacks are on the big stage this week!” the post shared by Joscelyn on her Instagram stories read.

Joscelyn signed her National Letter of Intent with the Arkansas Razorbacks back in November 2023. While more awaits the youngster on the path to the 2024-25 season, for persisting excitement, Roberson and the team will be rooting for a stand on their feet.

Arkansas Gymnastics to aim well on and off the grounds

The Razorbacks currently stand 13th in the overall standings with an average of 197.025. Though they recorded a loss last week, the roster also had three out of 4 events end with over 49 including a season-high on beams with 49.450; indicating a firm stand. However, going against Florida Gators, the roster will require more as the Gators have risen to no.6, accumulating a 197.331 average. The last time the two teams went against each other, it was the Gators’ victory, with 197.875 against the Razorbacks’ 197.4. More to achieve on the list, the Razorbacks will hope to make the best of the circumstances.

Additionally, while the showdown engulfs the spectators, the gymnastics stars will also perform to show support for the fight against breast cancer. The meet will aim to raise awareness on the matter, as both teams will adorn pink for team colors. The spectacle will take the stage at 6:30 p.m. CT with a live broadcast on ESPN. The meet will be one of the 20 meets to be featured on the Network, making it a second for the Razorbacks. The SEC Network will also be on the list of broadcasters on the 9th.
