Gymnastics legends share their ‘oops’ moments

When asked, ‘What is your most embarrassing gymnastics story?’, the legends flinched a little. Undoubtedly, some stories took the medals, while the others turned out to be decent. GymCastic captioned, “From forgetting grips to wedgies to shitting your pants, the competitors at #ARTWorlds2023 share their most embarrassing gymnastics moments. Who do you think takes gold for the most embarrassing moment?”

The US team member Kayla Dicello responded, “At Championships, I did my mount, and completely jumped over the beam.” On the other hand, unwilling to expose his secrets, Hashimoto Daiki unabashedly said, ‘Skip’. The Swedish artistic gymnast had quite an awkward story, said, “My leotard went right in my b**t”

The WCC French gymnast Melanie de Jesus Dos Santos said, “I forgot my grips, and I said, ‘Can someone give me the grips?” As not-so-embarrassing as Melanie’s response sounds, the gymnasts know the importance of it. But the one answer that stood out was of Eythora Thorsdottir. Without much hesitation, she said, “One time, I s**t my pants. I thought I was never gonna tell anybody. I still did a great routine, but yeah, s**t happens.”

Having said that, even the GOAT Simone Biles once faced an embarrassing situation all of a sudden.

Biles gets mistaken for a child

Back in 2022, even the most prominent athlete had experienced disgrace. Biles, totally unaware of the upcoming unsettling encounter with the flight crew, stepped onto the plane to return home. Although the then 25-year-old is most known for her career with the US Gymnastics team, the flight attendant didn’t seem to have received the memo. Therefore, she mistook the Olympian for a child.

She definitely wouldn’t have posted this on her story. She wrote, ?not the flight attendant trying to give me a coloring book when I board??, as funny as the incident sounds, it was uncomfortable for the Olympian. Correcting the flight attendant, she refused the book. Moreover, the only reason she got mistaken was her short stature.
