Simone Biles has earned individual accolades at the 2023 World Artistic Gymnastics Championship. But her team, consisting of some prolific women gymnasts of the century, made their individual marks as well. Having said so, the team gold was a joint effort. Posing victim to multiple falls at the Selection Event, Jordan Chiles couldn’t unfortunately make it to the Antwerp stage. Moeover, Jade Carey also tagged alongside, owing to several setbacks. But the indomitable spirit of Chiles speaks a different story.
Later this month, another gateway event of the 2024 Paris Olympics has been scheduled for the deserving gymnasts. Along similar lines, the 22-year-old Oregon native shares a special update in her Instagram story.

In the video, she performs a vault routine, on a mission to bring perfection. She falls and gets up, asserting her goals set for the 2024 Paris season next year. Having said so, her falls have posed a threat to her World Championships dreams, making her sit out of the competition.

Gymnastics great’s roadblocks
Chiles, the Sophomore athlete, embarked on her gymnastic career at the 2013 American Classic. Clinching a well-deserve bronze that season, the 2022 World vault silver medalist set her individual mark as a gymnastic great. Though she looked forward to the 2023 World Artistic Gymnastics Championship, her stumble cost her a grand appearance. In mid-September, the convincing US women roster took part in the US Women’s World Championships Selection Event.
As the Kentucky ground shook with phenomenal displays, Chiles missed her chance. Her fall story doesn’t end here. Earlier this year, at the Xfinity US National Championships, the 22-year-old faced a fall on the beam and a light stumble on the uneven bars. Though her floor exercise asserted sheer finesse, it failed to meet the expectations of the administration.
