The much-awaited season of carols and stockings has finally announced its presence. As people across communities add reds and greens to their days, equestrian enthusiasts have something more to tally the excitement. From year-end events to advent calendar openings, the Equestrian organizations have prepped for the holiday season early. And come the festivities, the athletes have a happy note to add.
Christmas is a time of happiness for millions. The US Equestrian Team chimed in to add more of it with the recent update. As the human athletes wore bright smiles, they also brought a special guest to spread the holiday spirit.
Equestrian team unites for holiday wishes

The US Equestrian Instagram team recently shared a post of the athletes sending wishes to the 180k followers. From Caroline Pamukcu to Anna Buffini, several joined in on the cheers with their messages. “Hi everyone, this is Caroline Pamukcu and HSH Blake. We just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a Happy New Year!” Eventing icon Pamukcu started. She was further followed by Ava Stearns, Para-Olympian Beatrice de Lavalette, Pan Am Dressage medalists, Anna Marek and Fire Fly. As the warming wishes to cheerful atmosphere rolled in, equestrians’ equine partners captured hearts all over.

When Daniel James, Christian Simonson, and Kat Fuqua along with their equines had a brief message, Sarah Tubman with First Apple added an extended note from the team as a whole. “We wanna wish everyone at USEF, all the fans and followers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We look forward to seeing everybody in 2024.”
To end the note, 2023 Palm Beach Dressage Derby winner Anna Buffini with Flynn Rider extended the final wishes. As the end of the holiday season brings along the nearing dates of the Olympics, the team sets to prepare to extend the celebrations.

The athletes prep for celebrations
Following an almost 2-year-long process, the US Equestrian Teams across all disciplines have made it to the 2024 Paris Olympics. While the Eventing and Dressage Teams earned a berth back in 2022, the Jumping team fought a close battle during the Pan American Games to get the qualification.

“There’s a great sense of relief,” said U.S. team chef d’equipe and technical advisor Robert Ridland. “Now the team can enjoy this moment, but we have to immediately start shifting our focus and planning to Paris,” he said following the win. The further Olympic Trials will begin on April 24th and will go on till the 8th of May. Having 52 Olympic medals to its name, the US Equestrian team will look to add more to the tally.
