The American Rockstar Bruce Springsteen’s daughter Jessica Springsteen is an Equestrian superstar. She set a record in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics by securing a silver medal to her name. Her major achievements as an Equestrian come from her rapport with her horses.

Speaking at her first clinic back in October 2021, she said “ Horses are not trying to be difficult”. She elaborated, that they most likely try to understand but don’t have an idea of how to go about it. Or it might be simply a case of miscommunication where the horse can’t get the signals from the rider correct.

Learning from your horse, listening to your horse and always trying to find the lesson even when it doesn’t go your way “, she suggested, as reported by The Chronicle of the Horse in 2021. The secret to her success in the Equestrian arena, is being patient with her horses. 

She also never expects too much from her horses in a single day. It is crucial to learn from one’s mistakes as Equestrianism as a sport can offer many ups and downs, according to the Olympic legend. Her positivity towards riders was unfaltering throughout her first Show Jumping clinic irrespective of the rider’s performance.

While speaking about how essential it is to communicate positively with the animal to master the sport she said, “ You have to learn a little bit every day, and when they do something correct give them a lot of positive reinforcement to let them know that they’ve done it right.”

Childhood Love For Horses Made Bruce Springsteen’s daughter an Equestrian star

Her fondness for horses began on the Stone Hill farm in Colts Neck Township. As a four-year-old, she experienced her first horse ride and received her first pony on turning six.  It is no surprise she rose to fame because of her skills to communicate with horses!

Eventually, her love for horses made her pursue the sport. The equestrian once confessed, “I would go ride every day after school. I never wanted to skip a lesson. If I ever had to for any reason I’d be so upset so it’s just always really focused on it”.
