Ahead of the upcoming Miami Grand Prix, Lindsey Vonn and Maria Sharapova collaborated for an inspiring cause. Invited as speakers at the F1 Accelerate Summit, the two athletes shared their experiences to make a difference in athletes’ lives. This event took place on 4th May. After the event, Vonn described the noble cause and shared a memorable picture with the tennis legend on Instagram.
The alpine skiing champion took to her Instagram to share a series of pictures from the inaugural F1 summit. Interestingly, Formula 1 and Custom Events collaborated to organise this year’s F1 Accelerate summit. The event also featured popular celebrities like Joseph Kosinski, Lewis Hamilton, and Jerry Bruckheimer. Hinting at how she spoke about how players can perform well on the field, Vonn opened up on the noble cause. With this, she also shared a special moment with tennis legend Maria Sharapova.

Dressed in a gorgeous white outfit, Vonn posed with Sharapova who had worn a stylish black dress. Happy to see the Tennis prodigy, Vonn penned on her Instagram, “Great to see you @mariasharapova..” Further, she elaborated on her experience as a speaker and the important cause she spoke about. “It was great to be a part of the panel this morning and talk about mental health and performance”, she said. Referring to the upcoming Grand Prix, she added, “Can’t wait for this weekend.”

This wasn’t the only time Vonn has expressed her excitement about F1 races. Once, disclosing how she drove on the FI racetrack and loved driving fast, Vonn revealed her F1 racing dream.
Lindsey Vonn’s craze for racing
As reported by the Olympics. com, Vonn narrated, “I drove in Spielberg in Austria on a Formula 1 racetrack.” Further, she recalled how she once drove an Audi at 130 miles per hour. At that time, the popular alpine skier Maria Hofl-Riesch was also with her. Afterwards, she opened up about her F1 dream.

The alpine skier recounted how she wished to change her profession to F1 and become a driver. However, she didn’t become an F1 driver as she didn’t wish to commit to F1 racing for three years. She further explained how she was told that she couldn’t get pregnant or do anything besides F1 racing. This made her decide against becoming an F1 driver.
