This year has been momentous for the power couple. Simone, after a two-year hiatus, marked her triumphant return by acing the US Classics on August 5th, 2023. In parallel, Jonathan inked a significant deal with the Green Bay Packers, setting the stage for his NFL debut with the team. Despite their impressive individual journeys, the challenges of distance persist.
The couple finds themselves settled in different states due to their respective careers. Yet, their love endures, evident in their heartwarming exchanges on social media. Recently, Simone once again continued her touching tradition of cheering for her husband. Her latest post, featuring three powerful words, has created ripples of excitement within their community.

Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens, the dynamic duo, are no stranger to navigating the trials of distance in their relationship. Soon after their wedding, their careers led them down separate paths as Jonathan embarked on his journey with the Green Bay Packers while Simone geared up for her gymnastics comeback. The miles that separate them may be vast, but their connection remains as strong as ever.
Along similar lines, the diva’s recent flight to support Jonathan in person speaks volumes about their enduring bond. After fulfilling her bridesmaid duties at her best friend Rachel Moore’s bachelorette party, Simone wasted no time hopping on a plane to be by her husband’s side. On 11th September, Simone took to her threads account and posted her support with three powerful words, “GO PACK GO.”

Likewise, when Jonathan’s NFL commitments prevented him from attending Simone’s events and her best friend’s celebrations, he too turned to his Instagram to add words that underscore the couple’s constant communication and mutual understanding.
Jonathan Owens’ transition to Green Bay Packers
Simone Biles’ partner’s journey started as an undrafted free agent with the Arizona Cardinals after the 2018 NFL Draft. However, early setbacks came his way when an injury led to his release just before the 2018 season. It put him on injured reserve. In September 2019, Owens joined the Houston Texans’ practice squad and marked the beginning of his journey with the professional team.

Despite going back and forth between the practice squad and the active roster, he persevered in his pursuit of an NFL career. Fast forward, in December 2021, Owens reached a significant milestone and achieved his first career interception and recovery during the Texans’ win over the LA Chargers. From being an free agent to the win over LA Chargers, it is of no doubt that Owen’s transition to the Green Bay Packers in May 2023 has been nothing short of extraordinary. His hard work and determination paid off as he eagerly anticipated his debut with the Packers.
Throughout this phase, Simone’s support from a distance, as well as her recent flight to be with him, served as a source of motivation and love. The power couple’s journey is filled with challenges and triumphs. However, they continue to inspire and prove that love can conquer distance and adversities.
