“Vecna Was Misunderstood”: Shaun White’s On-Screen Vampire Girlfriend Nina Dobrev Feels Sorry for Her Halloween Character

American snowboarder Shaun White is a five-time Olympian and three-time Olympic gold medalist. However, he retired earlier this year with the record for the most Olympic gold medals by a snowboarder. Not to mention, White is also the world record holder for the most X Games gold medal in history. But having bid goodbye to the sport months ago, White continues to make headlines for other reasons.

In 2019, White began dating Hollywood star Nina Dobrev, and together, the duo has won hearts. The Internet’s favorite lovebirds, glimpses of their adventures over social media often leave fans awed and entertained. Most recently, the couple shared pictures of their Halloween outfits, while Nina had a hilarious take about the character she portrayed.

As Halloween celebrations took over the world, Dobrev spammed her followers with pictures of her Netflix special Stranger Things-themed outfit.

Partnering alongside White, Dobrev dressed up as Vecna, a famous monster from the series. Meanwhile, snowboarder White dressed up as one of the protagonists of the show, Max Mayfield.

In one of her Instagram stories, Dobrev was seen dancing, dressed as Vecna. She captioned the story, “Vecna was misunderstood, he just wanted to rage like the rest of us.”

Dobrev’s hilarious story and the couple’s Halloween costume had fans in splits. Dobrev also shared a video of her and her boyfriend White enacting a famous scene from the series, showing off the snowboarder’s acting skills as well.
