Mikaela Pauline Shiffrin aka Mikaela Shiffrin is an American alpine skier known as the GOAT of Alpine skiing, and has the most World Cup wins, be it for men or women. The GOAT of alpine skiing is a two-time Gold Medalist in the Olympics. She is also a five-time World Cup champion and has won a four-time world champion in slalom and the list continues. She is even considered the youngest slalom champion in Olympic alpine skiing history. She has won a record 88 World Cup races beating Lindsey Vonn and Ingemar Stenmark’s record in March 2023.

Recently, FIS Alpine shared a post on Instagram in collaboration with World Cup Levi. As the first giant slalom event in Solden is over, now the champions are focusing on the Slalom World Cup events in Levi, Finland, which will be held on November 11th and 12th. The caption reads, ‘Strap yourself in and get ready for an action-packed weekend with ??. The world?s best female slalom skiers will compete in the enchanted Finnish landscape. Who will win the first two slaloms of the season?’

The video featured many top skiers. The video starts with Mikaela saying, ‘Well, maybe I was a bit lucky in the first… I can’t even really remember it. I feel a little bit lucky with this win… a little bit of luck.’ The video further features another alpine skier from Slovakia, Petra Vlhova, who won the World Cup overall title in 2021 and the gold medal in the 2022 Winter Olympics in the slalom event. She says, ‘It was a big fight, but I did it and I want to push as much as I can. I did it…’ She further adds, ‘It was so difficult today, but I am really, and I don?t know what to say… and it...’

On 27th Oct, this year Mikaela Shiffrin started her 13th FIS World Cup season in giant slalom on the Rettenbach Glacier in S?lden, Austria. Shiffrin feels like her biggest achievement will be beating Annemarie Moser Proell’s record of six overall World Cup titles ?If I am able to match her six overall titles, that would probably be the biggest accomplishment – everybody gets to have their own opinion, but personally, that has been one of the biggest goals and would be my biggest accomplishment,? Shiffrin told olympics.com.

Shiffrin, at the tender age of 28, has enough impressive achievements such as 88 World Cup victories, 15 crystal globes, two Olympic gold medals and many more. However, she admitted that Matching Moser-Proell’s record would be the icing on the cake. ?Mikaela is such a perfect skier that there is no limit to what she can do if she says healthy,?
