31-year-old Viktor Arvidsson arrived as a seasoned veteran in Edmonton. After spending 10 seasons with two NHL teams, the right-winger became an expensive acquisition for the Oilers, costing the team $4 million annually. However, there was a good reason behind his joy. While Arvidsson had never played for the Oilers, he had a close friend on the roster who helped Arvidsson make up his mind.

Despite appearing in 37 games, Arvidsson has scored only 6 goals, the same number of goals he had scored for the Kings in just 18 games last year. He has also notched only 11 assists so far.
