Wayne Gretzky was active from 1979 all the way to 1999. He is the greatest hockey player ever as per sportswriters, players, the NHL, etc. Gretzky has countless NHL records to his name. He still uses his expertise to the benefit of many NHL teams.

Gretzky recalls an incident about an enormous crowd in an arena in Paris. The crowd was loud and booing Gretzky. Describing the incident, Gretzky said, “The arena is so loud, the people are in there watching and booing.”
Gretzky described how the crowd was overwhelming. He also recalls his dad’s reaction to the crowd booing. His father was unfazed, and it did not surprise him.
Gretzky recalled his father once telling him, “They only boo because they like you. If they are not booing you, then that means you are not very good.”

Gretzky has written several books over the years. His most recent book 99: Stories of the Game was the best-selling Canadian book of 2016. His other books have also been pretty well received by the audience. Some of his notable books are Gretzky: An Autobiography and 99: My Life in Pictures. All these books gave an insight into the life of the legend.
