The NHL world hasn’t been able to move on from the heroics of the Boston Bruins goalie’s goal. February 27th, 2023 would go down as one of the most memorable nights after goalie Linus Ullmark scored an impressive goal against the New York Rangers, from his own crease. Rifling past three Vancouver defenders, Ullmark took a clear shot at the open net, rendering the audience wild. The moment went viral on social media, and many fans, including former NFL punter, turned sports analyst, Pat McAfee, had something to say about it.

Boston Connor recently appeared for an interview on The Pat McAfee Show and discussed Ullmark’s iconic goal. However, Pat McAfee who is known for his bold opinions, expressed his excitement about Ullmark’s goal in an unusual way.

McAfee became the voice of probably every hockey fan as he talked about their love for the Goalie’s Goal. “We love Goalie Goals”, McAfee said while clapping. However, what he added afterwards became the highlight of the conversation. McAfee isn’t a great fan of the Boston Bruins and this was evident in the way he applauded Ullmark.

“It was a heartbreaker that it came from your Fu**king scumbag city, but anytime you see a Goalie start lying something up over everybody’s head and has to be online while you are wearing those big goofy pads and A terrible stick to shoot with that was a snipe from that Goalie”, the former NFL player said in an interview. 

McAfee’s reaction to Ullmark’s goal is not surprising. This is in tandem with his passion for sports and his admiration for athletes who push boundaries and make history. McAfee is a former athlete who played in the NFL before transitioning into a career in sports media. Linus Ullmark has been making a serious impact this season, and the goal isn’t the only time he made headlines. 

When Linus Ullmark broke a 93-year-old record

Linus Ullmark recently broke the 93-year-old-record on January 22nd, after earning the 25th win of the season with just 28 decisions. He thus became the quickest person ever to do it. The 29-year-old broke the record of former Bruins goalie Tiny Thompson, made in 1929-30. 

The season has witnessed some incredible performances from the Bruins teams so far. Fans are waiting eagerly to see some more heroic performances from the 6-time Stanley Cup champions.
