It’s a clash whenever Team USA and Canada face each other, right? Both teams are juggling their way out to show the world who’s who. But what stays prominent in this conflict is the win that makes the entire moment truly remarkable. This is exactly what the USA did in their recent match against Canada in their 4-Nations Face-Off championship. In front of a polarized crowd of 21,105 fans at the Montréal Bell Centre, they secured a massive win with a score of 3-1 against their opponents!
This marked their first victory in almost 15 years against Canada in an international tournament since the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. And of course, when it’s a clash, brawls are bound to occur. In fact, there were three this time, within minutes after the famous UFC fighter Georges St-Pierre introduced the teams. One of them featured J.T. Miller and Colton Parayko as they went head-on in the ice. It was just about six seconds after the game started that a scrum occurred near the U.S. net. Miller’s aggression and unexpected actions led to a penalty for cross-checking while he pushed Parayko.
However, the most captivating thing worth seeing was Miller’s exclusive remarks on his journey as a Ranger now. He was acquired by the New York Rangers from the Vancouver Canucks at the beginning of this year. Coming back to the Rangers meant something bigger this time for Miller. It meant that Miller gets to play with someone close to him, a brother in arms, Vincent Trocheck. It just got better when Miller and Trocheck were picked up to play for the National team, a united front in Team USA jerseys.

When Trocheck was asked about how it felt when his dream of representing the country together with Miller became real, he said it was a “whirlwind” experience. In Trocheck’s words, “Just all of it has been a whirlwind. Being able to be here, both representing Team USA for the first time in 12 years together, is pretty cool experience.” He emphasized on how overwhelming things have been since their dream to play together and for the country has come true.
He further added, “Obviously, any time we get to put on the USA jersey, it’s a huge honor. To be able to do it with friends and teammates is even more special.” This strong bond could also serve as an inspiration to the entire team to rake up a storm in the upcoming matches as well.
J.T. Miller is all powered up and back!
Miller is back to where he was when he began his NHL career, the New York Rangers after the Canucks traded him. Looking back at his time with the Canucks, his record sheds better light on his prowess. He scored his 100th NHL goal in a 7-2 win against the Florida Panthers, probably making this the best NHL season ever, for himself and his team. After all, he maintained a good score of 72 points, 27 goals, and 45 assists in a total of 69 games!
But moving back to where he started? As much as it is a happy moment for Miller, it is a better one for the New York Rangers! Miller has come back as a star. He is a well-established player now and has already been dominating his matches. Rangers have received a great potential to add to the overall strength of their team. If his strength is harnessed right, then the Rangers are looking at a potentially unbeatable team this NHL season.

When he made his debut with the Rangers, Miller became the first teenager with multiple goals since Alexei Kovalev, who achieved a similar milestone back in 1992! But this is just the beginning, the Rangers have already been in great shape before the 4-Nations Face-off. Ofcourse, Team USA’s journey in the international tournament, by now, is already history.
Beware – We’re just throwing caution to the wind, Trocheck and Miller on the same side are a force to reckon with. We can’t wait to see the twin trouble this pair is going to cost for their opponents.
