One of the greatest artists of the generation, Justin Bieber hit the ice for Team Ferrel Snoop in their NHL LA Strong game vs Team Vaughn Smulders. Reporter Jackie Redmond caught up with him at half-time to ask him about his plans for the upcoming half of the game, she also got the new dad to spill the beans on when he plans to get his kid on skates.
“Well, listen, I know you’re a new dad. How soon are you looking to get your kid on skates?” The NHL reporter asked Justin Bieber. And he honestly and happily said, “(As) soon as possible.” But then the reporter rightly asked, “When is it too early, man?” And JB just said, “There’s never too early.” We agree.
Never too early to get your child on skates eh, @justinbieber? 👶

The world was introduced to Bieber Jr. when Justin Bieber posted a picture of the newborn baby’s feet in last year’s August. “Welcome Home- Jack Blues Bieber,” read the caption. Hailey and JB had announced that they were expecting a child in May 2024 and fans couldn’t wait to see the baby. And it’s really adorable when Justin talks about his 6-month-old baby’s hockey career.
But who knows? Maybe Bieber Jr. will hit the ice soon. After all, his father is a big-time Leafs fan. But it was not a Leafs game that got the pop icon to don a hockey jersey today. He was there at the Crypto.com Arena for a cause.

Bieber and Team Ferrel Snoop were down 3 goals against Team Vaughn Smulders at halftime. Talking about how what message had gone out to the team in the breaktime huddle, the pop icon said, “The message was, let’s just keep playing hard out there and work as a team.” But the game was about more than the scoreline. Hailed as the “brainchild of Hockey Hall of Famer and Kings President Luc Robitaille”, the four-team tournament was about celebrities and hockey legends coming together for one cause — to help those affected by the devastating fires in Los Angeles.

One month ago, the Palisades Fires, the Eaton Fires, and the deadly Hughes Fires wreaked havoc in Los Angeles. At least 29 people lost their lives, citizens became homeless, and even celebrities like Paris Hilton, and Angelina Jolie had to move outside the city. Moreover, the National Football League’s wild-card game between the Los Angeles Rams and Minnesota Vikings had to move to Arizona due to the fires.

The Skate For LA Strong semifinal 2 saw the likes of Bieber, Steve Carell take to the ice with Hockey Hall of Famers like Mark Messier, Cammi Granato, and Jeremy Roenick. “We’re looking to have a good time and show when we come together, good things happen,” said Bieber. It was indeed a good time with over 12000 people in attendance, many of who were first responders and people displaced by the fires. And all of them loved it when Justin Bieber got into a make-believe fight with Jeremy Roenick. Maybe we’ll get to see some of his father’s hockey passion in young Jack too. Time will tell.
