The Minnesota Wild are wilding! In a season already brimming with surprises, the Wilds just proved that challenges only strengthen their spirits. Still can’t figure out what we’re getting at? Well, what unfolded in their latest win demonstrated their prowess on the ice and was something truly extraordinary! With key players like Kirill Kaprizov, Joel Eriksson Ek, and others sidelined, the team brought a thrilling turn of events, leaving fans on the edge of their seats.

The Wilds defeated the Seattle Kraken, with 4-0 on Wednesday. But in that stunning picture of intensity and hype, the Wild didn’t just win—they burned through the first few minutes! It was a leading 3-0 in less than 4 1/2 minutes into the game! Can you believe it? Three goals, coming back-to-back in a lightning-fast 1:42 span, proving just how wild they can get when they’re on fire!

B/R Open Ice shared the exact match clip on X, with a bold caption that read, THREE GOALS IN 1:42, THE WILD ARE COOKING WITH GAS.” That must’ve had the fans buzzing, right?

The Wild are definitely heating up! With Matt Boldy leading the charge with two goals, followed by Ryan Hartman and Liam Ohgren one each, the Wild not only extended their streak to two games but also strengthened their grip on the first wildcard spot in the Western Conference. “It’s nice, isn’t it? To be able to get a little bit of run support and then be able to play the game the right way. I really liked our start. Then I thought we did a pretty good job the rest of the game to continue to play the right way, so it was a nice win for us,” reflected the Wild’s coach, John Hynes, in the post-match interview.

And for their goalie, who was nothing short of an emerging hero of the game? Well, Filip Gustavsson sealed the deal again with saving all 34 shots that fired his way! Even though the Kraken tried hard to hit, at least one from any angle that didn’t catch Gustavsson’s sight, they fall short in doing so. Not a single puck slipped! Imagine the kind of dedication it would have taken to withstand that level of pressure for the entire game! The entire goaltending wasn’t just a win but a true testament!

Minnesota Wild has a lesson to teach!

It wasn’t very long ago, when the Anaheim Ducks put on a similar show against the Edmonton Oilers. Remember the Ducks scoring four consecutive goals in the first period, ruining the Oilers’ defense? Well, it was one of those games that connects with fast forward to what happened recently between the Wild and the Kraken! But here’s a genuine concern—whether it was just about the offensive masterclass from the Ducks and the Wild, or something deeper at play.

What’s your perspective on:

Three goals in under two minutes—are the Wild the most exciting team to watch right now?

Have an interesting take?

Well, if observed precisely, there are a lot of insights to gain. With both the Kraken and the Oilers losing, the lack of power could be their goaltending, which simply couldn’t hold up! It was the Oilers’ Stuart Skinner who struggled to keep the Ducks at bay from hitting one goal after another, given that the Ducks were provided empty-net opportunities. Similar concerns could be pointed out if we look at Kraken’s Philipp Grubauer last night. Managed to stop 24 shots, but what about the early onslaught? Now this is the blank space, where both Skinner and Grubauer faltered, unable to shut down the opposition when it mattered most!

So, what bearing does this have on the current discussion? Well, in this sport, if it’s a fast start, it either builds the dominance or destroys the unprepared. Just like the Wild and the Ducks who saw their moment and seized it, leaving behind poor performers such as the Kraken and the Oilers? They simply failed to goal tend. And once you let that happen, there’s no stopping further. What do you think? Let us know!
