Luckily, Wayne Gretzky has always mentored and accepted Dustin Johnson.

In fact, Gretzky is the one who pushed his daughter to marry the American golfer. According to New York Post, Paulina Gretzky once said that it was her father who told her she should marry Johnson. Dustin Johnson took hiatus from golfing for a while due to some personal reasons. However, he planned to come back in 2015. According to Vault, he gathered the wisdom of his father-in-law, The Great Gretzky, and tried to emulate him as much as possible before he got back into it.

One of the best pieces of advice that Johnson got from his father-in-law was undeniably this, “People ask me now, ‘What do you do to replace hockey?'” Gretzky says. “I don’t. I can’t. And I tell Dustin, ‘You can’t replace golf or what you do and bring to the sport. Make sure you understand that, and don’t mess that up.'”
