Wayne Gretzky‘s name is synonymous with Ice Hockey. Though that is not his only identity. The NHL legend is also a good baseball player, a golf rookie, a dabbler in the podcast industry, and most importantly he is a guy’s guy. Indeed he can be everywhere his friends need him to be. A throwback video of the Walk of Fame depicts how the Great One was there to flourish on the stage with his presence, to cheer for his peer Bryan Adams. Adams achieved the star in the hall and that dragged Gretzky there.
The Canadian rockstar Bryan Adams received the 2435th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2011. Gretzky, an old friend of Adams attended the event and praised the singer. Here is what happened.

Gretzky’s appearance on the show in Los Angeles is indeed remarkable. Though this is not the first time he proved his closeness with his friends. While praising Adams on the stage, he addressed their acquaintance saying, “Bryan and I Have Been Friends Since 1980”. At the ceremony, the NHL legend further added while applauding for Adams’ singing career and charitable work, “On behalf of all Canadians congratulations to you and your entire family,”
The two Canadians share a great bond to be each other’s special time. Notably, Adams sang the national anthem on Gretzky’s last game before retirement and concluded by saying, “We’re gonna miss you Wayne Gretzky.” While delivering a speech on a rainy day, the Great One recalled, “This is typical. I’ve been to an outdoor concert of Bryan’s where it was pouring rain and watched him perform his magic”.
Where they are now?
For some personal reasons, Gretzky decided to live in St. Louis and moved his family there. Albeit, he is out of Canada, one cannot distinguish Canada from him. While talking about Bryan he happily said, “I’m very proud to say he’s Canadian.” He even addressed him as “a very humble Canadian”.
