It has not even been a month, and we are back again! Remember when Brady Tkachuk found himself smack dab in the middle of the gloves-dropped chaos during the 4 Nations Face-Off in February? It all started when the Montreal crowd at the Bell Centre turned up the heat, booing the U.S. national anthem loud enough to shake the rafters. And just like that, the tension in the air didn’t just stay in the stands—it spilled straight onto the ice. As soon as the puck touched the ice, the fighting started and within the first nine seconds, there were not one, not two, but three fights!

Gloves came off and in the blink of an eye, players like Brandon Hagel, Matthew Tkachuk, Sam Bennett, Brady Tkachuk, Colton Parayko and J.T. Miller were already fighting in an entertaining old-school hockey fight. And now? Déjà vu. Brady Tkachuk is at it again and throwing down for the first time since that 4 Nations saga! This time it was Senators vs. Capitals and you guessed it right. The gloves came flying off once more.

Brady Tkachuk drops his gloves yet again!

TSN took to X to drop a spicy little clip from the Senators vs. Capitals showdown, and let’s just say—things got really heated, really fast. While the scoreboard showed Washington cruising with a 2-0 lead, that was not the highlight that had fans glued to their screens. Nope. The real show? Brady Tkachuk and Tom Wilson throwing down center stage following Wilson’s hit on Claude Giroux. TSN summed it up best, keeping it simple yet straight-up electric: “TOM WILSON AND BRADY TKACHUK DROPPED THE GLOVES.” And honestly? That’s all you need to know.

And once again, this game had all that one can expect–drama, goals, and a good dose of hockey mayhem! Pierre-Luc Dubois scored a goal and assisted a couple as the Capitals edged the Senators 5-4 in a thriller. Connor McMichael, Tom Wilson, and Martin Fehervary each added a goal and an assist, and Logan Thompson made 33 saves. As far as Ottawa is concerned, Shane Pinto scored two goals, Claude Giroux scored a goal and an assist, and Jake Sanderson had three assists.

The Caps were leading 3-0, which seemed to indicate that the game was as good as over, but Ottawa was not ready to go home just yet. Pinto started the comeback, Giroux scored a bullet, and when it appeared that Fehervary scored a goal in the final minutes to seal the win, then it was none other than Brady Tkachuk to equalize the game. The fans were on their feet for most of the game, but in the end, Dylan Strome rose to tilt the result in the Capital’s favor thanks to his shootout goal which went unanswered by Giroux. But coming back to Brady Tkachuk, he wasn’t the first Tkachuk to drop the gloves!

Not the brothers, but the other Tkachuk!

The Tkachuk brothers were not going to take it easy on this one! When the puck dropped in the 4 Nations, Matthew Tkachuk didn’t take long to go head hunting with Canadian Brandon Hagel to show that Team USA had come to play. “We needed to send a message,” Matthew said. Not to be outdone by his older brother, little bro Brady Tkachuk joined the fray and engaged in a fight with Sam Bennett that got the crowd going. Having their gloves off on the ice and their fists in the air, the Tkachuks set the tone for what would be an all out war.

And they weren’t just scrapping for the fun of it—there was a purpose behind the madness. After hearing their anthem get booed and the Montreal crowd rally behind Team Canada, the American squad needed a spark. Enter J.T. Miller, stepping up against the towering 6’6” Colton Parayko in a true David vs. Goliath matchup. Still, Miller did not give an inch to the Canadian, showing that America was not going to shy away from anything. The energy that they got from those early fights took the squad to beat their northern counterparts 3-1.

But if you thought this was a new Tkachuk tradition, think again! Their father, Keith Tkachuk, had already written this playbook back in 1996. In the World Cup of Hockey against Canada, he fought Claude Lemieux in the first 20 seconds of the match and thus paved the way for a 5-3 victory. Looks like fighting spirit runs in the family—because when a Tkachuk laces up for the USA against Canada, you can bet a battle is coming with it!
