As Simone Biles clinched her 6th World Title at the recent Gymnastics Championships, Jonathan Owens stepped foot on the 8th week of the NFL season. Currently, the 18-week long NFL season is underway and the GOAT can only cheer from afar. On April 22, 2023, the love birds tied the knot in an official setting. However, their individual career commitments always come in the way. But being each other’s strongest supporters, Biles and Owens resort to social media now and then.

Keeping her training sessions aside, the 26-year-old Olympian landed at a preseason NFL game in Ohio a while back. While the Cincinnati Bengals and the Green Bay Packers locked horns, the 7X Olympic medalist cheered in a Packers’ 34 jersey. However, her surprise visit to her husband’s game caught the netizens, who slowly transitioned to trolls. But the wife never left her beau’s side.

Though they get to unite very rarely, the power duo gives shout-outs to each other through Instagram, mostly. On the other hand, as Matt Lafleur, Green Bay Packers’ current coach, looks forward to Owens hitting the field, Packers posted an update. Boasting Owens in his sports gear and helmet, looking fierce on the field, the caption read, “Ready to compete. #GoPackGo.” The picture had Lafleur’s statement in quotes, reading, “He’s done everything we’ve asked him to do and we’re excited to see him for his opportunity to go out there and compete.”

Never failing to miss any cheerleading opportunity, the Olympic medalist shared Packers’ post in her story. As an add on, she gave a clapping emoji to make her presence felt. Furthermore, another of her story glued netizens to their phone screens. Notching up her hyping game a little, Biles posted an Instagram story wearing a T-shirt with Owens on it. With a picture from one of his games, she sought help from MVPBae to customize the tee for her.

Besides the niceness of the duo’s love on display, they had to face several setbacks as well. In fact, adding to the previous trolling comments, the recent comments on Packers’ post raised a little concern.

After one of the NFL preseason games that Biles attended, both shared an off-field moment. Out of fun, the Olympian wrote, ?When he talking to someone during a game but it ain?t you WTF?. The statement not only became a matter of joke, it got hit with negative comments back-to-back. Someone wrote, ?Cringe a** post lol?, while the other commented ?bro this post makes zero sense.”

Probably, this incident wasn’t enough for the trolls to take a jab at the athletes. In the recent Packers’ post, as a response to Lafleur’s quote, some people had hateful things to say. While one commenter wrote, “If he?s done everything you asked then you?ve asked for utterly nothing”, the other added, “Damn so y’all just been asking him to get some penalties?”
