The Week 9 decider was a rollercoaster of emotions as the Dallas Cowboys took on the Philadelphia Eagles. The game was a deciding factor for NFC East supremacy. As the Cowboys struggled after a promising start, it eventually adjourned the result.

The Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles faced off at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. The much-anticipated Week 9 of the 2023 NFL season has thrown up some surprising results. The Cowboys stand second after the Eagles with a 5-2 record this season. They are trailing the Eagles who are at the top with a 7-1 record.

Dave Portnoy showed no mercy for the Cowboys

Dave Portnoy’s critique of the Cowboys’ gameplay might seem harsh, but it highlights some key issues. In a tweet posted right after the match against the Eagles, Portnoy expressed his disappointment with the performance of the Cowboys.

This isn’t the first time Portnoy has been critical of the Cowboys; he previously had a spat over the copyright infringement for the ‘Saturdays Are For The Boys’ controversy.

Portnoy’s tweet came in response to the Philadelphia Eagles’ narrow victory over the Cowboys in the Week 9 decider game. The nail-biting match ended with the Eagles defeating the Cowboys 28-23. Captioning the tweet, the Barstool owner wrote, “Everything the Cowboys do during the course of a game indicates they have no clue how to play football.

Despite the setback, the Cowboys still have a chance to make it to the playoffs, although their record has slipped to 5-3 after the Sunday game.

Jalen Hurts shines bright in the win

As the Philadelphia Eagles landed a win last night, Jalen Hurts played a crucial role. The quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles, played completed 29 of his 38 passes, throwing for 319 yards and four touchdowns. With a season-high passer rate of 135.7, he also had four passing touchdowns tied for a career-high. His performance was stellar, leading to him being named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week.

Additionally, Hurts has been showing consistent performance throughout the season. Be it passing grade, passing touchdown or yards per attempt, he outshines everybody with a successful season. His last night performance was instrumental in the Eagles’ narrow victory over the Cowboys, with the game ending 28-23 in favor of the Eagles.

Despite the setback for the Cowboys, the season is far from over. They still have a chance to make it to the playoffs as they will collide with the New York Giants on Monday, November 13.
