Former NFL player Shannon Sharpe is known for playing as a tight end. However, post-retirement, he has made a name in the commentary world. Recently on his show, “Club Shay Shay,” Sharpe welcomed the famous Tommy Davidson. He asked the comedian about his auditioning times. Talking about it, he asked, “You were the first to audition for ‘In Living Color’ correct?” Recalling the days, Davidson replied, “I was the first to get the part…my audition didn’t go too well…but I based that on the look in their face when I was done. Right, cuz I was going out the room, and they was like ‘Hey man, see you around man.’”

Adding on he said, “The reason why I got it is because I was so strong in stand up… I had that football principle. Right, you know repetition, repetition… then stuff starts becoming like an instinct. Right, so I was 30th that night at 30 of the hottest comics in the business. Okay?… Jim Carrey… Jamie Fox everybody wanted the show right and there I was right 30th okay…I just kind of did my own thing and my manager kept coming out and going you can’t do this bit because somebody did that one right… so my show was getting a little bit shorter as I go, but I was confident in what I had because we always worked on comedy with a discipline…”

Davidson, having said that, also gave his take on his Co-star, Jim Carrey. This time Davidson talked about all that the legendary actor has achieved.
