Dave Portnoy is an avid football fan and never misses a chance to watch his favorite team play. He had recently predicted the six teams that had a real chance of winning the 2023 NFL Super Bowl championship in 2023. As a result of his unfiltered commentary, the NFL banned him from attending all future matches. The Barstool Sports president remained unapologetic as ever and carried on with his antics.
Dave Portnoy revived his no-nonsense approach to sports analysis last night after the Patriots lost to the Miami Dolphins. This was the second loss for them in the early season of the NFL. The subpar performance of the New England Patriots forced Dave Portnoy to confront the harsh reality of his preseason predictions and reconsider his stance.

From the start of the video, Portnoy looked baffled at the state of the team and expressed his disappointment at the poor decision-making on the field. He also looked at a loss for words, which is quite uncharacteristic of him. Ultimately, he declared that he would make an adjustment to the ranking list.
Dave Portnoy said, “I am downgrading us from the top five teams in the NFL”. He was frustrated with the defense’s performance, saying, “You can’t just spot everybody two touchdowns and come roaring back”. With that, he made an adjustment to his prediction and painted a very different picture of the team’s future prospects.

In the first week of September, Dave Portnoy announced on Twitter that the Patriots stood a good chance of winning the Super Bowl. He wrote, “I’ve cracked the numbers. He ended the tweet with a confident statement saying, “Nobody else” would have a shot at winning the championship besides those on his list. However, after the Patriots lost 17-24 against the Miami Dolphins, his trust in the team was shaken.
